IU has Top Program in Instructional Media in the Country!
Sunday, January 19, 2020

We're #1...We're #1...We're #1.

Per the new rankings from U.S. News and World Report, Indiana University has the top online master's program in instructional media. We now appear as #1 (tied with FSU and ASU) with our more than two decades old master's in instructional systems technology (IST).

https://www.usnews.com/education/online-education/education/online-instructional-media-design-rankings. We also have one of the first and most innovative online doctorates.

The program with 2020 vision! The program of the decade!

Find out more about with the IST department offers and who we are. It is the oldest and longest running IST program in the country and perhaps the world.

Indiana University is 200 years old tomorrow. Long live IU!

Go IU! Go Big Red! There are momentous days and then there are momentous days.

See the Indiana Daily Student (ISD) “Happy Bicentennial, IU” edition (see: https://www.idsnews.com/section/bicentennial or https://issuu.com/idsnews/docs/binder1_18b1e911d24656). Monday is IU’s 200 year anniversary (1-20-2020). At 10 am EST Monday, there will be a ceremony to commemorate the unveiling of the Big Red III Supercomputer at the Cyberinfrastructure Building. I will be there for the 10 unveiling.

The new Bicentennial Grand Carillon behind the main library with ring with 65 bells at 11:45 am. Many other singing and dancing events on campus follow that.

You can watch it all streamed live at 10 am EST: https://broadcast.iu.edu/

The first classes at Indiana University (IU) did not start till 1825 since it took a while to agree on a location/city. Fortunately, they selected Bloomington. We were intended to be a seminary.

200 years! I arrived when it was just 172 years old. It is now 200. I have been here for 14% of it. See below for the new Bicentennial Grand Carillon and the old Big Red II.

I arrived in late August 1992 from West Virginia University (WVU). I have spent much of my life here (nearly 28 years). I have seen a lot...mostly good things. Long live IU!
